GREEN BAY - As former President Donald Trump holds a rally Tuesday in Green Bay, it will be his first visit to the area in four years.

The event will be Trump's first rally in Wisconsin for the 2024 presidential election. He will speak Tuesday evening at the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay. He was in Waukesha County in 2022 to campaign for Tim Michels before the Republican gubernatorial primary.

His rally Tuesday marks his eighth appearance in Green Bay area and first one in four years.

His first appearance in the city goes back 15 years before he was elected president. Here's a look at Trump's previous stops in Green Bay.

Donald Trump was the new owner of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Monday Night RAW" on June 22, 2009, when he and several WWE Divas appeared for a press conference at the Executive Air Terminal at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport in Ashwaubenon.

Trump came back to Green Bay as a Republican presidential candidate in 2016. He made a campaign stop for a town hall on March 30, 2016, at St. Norbert College in De Pere a couple weeks ahead of the April presidential primary that year. He followed the St. Norbert town hall with an invitation-only town hall at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, hosted by former MSNBC host Chris Matthews. He ended the day with a rally in Appleton with 1,000 supporters.

Between the two town halls, Trump spoke about his views on college debt, abortion, critiques of former state governor Scott Walker, and building a wall on the border with Mexico. Hundreds of Green Bay residents attended the St. Norbert Town Hall, while other students organized protests on the college campus ahead of his arrival.

Trump makes an early campaign stop in 2019

Three years later, Trump made an early campaign visit to the Green Bay area ahead of the 2020 presidential election where he was seeking reelection. He held a rally at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon in April 2019 to build momentum in Wisconsin and nearby Michigan — two swing states in the presidential election.

Trump made a stop in Marinette in June 2020 during his bid for reelection. He toured Fincantieri Marinette Marine before speaking to around 700 people, mostly employees of the shipyard. He followed the tour by taping a one-hour town hall with Fox News host Sean Hannity at the Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport.

He made another plea to voters four days before the November 2020 election at the airport, where he spoke to thousands of supporters. In the speech, he talked about restoring "law and order" and recovering the economy post-COVID.

The week after, Biden was elected president, carrying Green Bay with more votes than Trump, but Trump won Brown County overall.
