Teacher wins 92nd House District Republican Primary

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A crowded field of Republicans ran for a House seat in Pennsylvania’s 92nd District, which is in and around Dillsburg. Marc Anderson, an Air Force Veteran and teacher, narrowly won with just over 3,600 votes.

Anderson won against Holly Kelley, Matthew Davis, Chris Wyatt, and Zachary Kile, all of whom were hoping to take over Republican Dawn Keefer’s seat.

Keefer ran unopposed in the primary seat for Pennsylvania’s 31st Senate District.

Anderson will face off against Democrat Daniel Almoney, who ran unopposed, in the November Election.

“I am honestly thinking about how I’ve been doing a job [teaching] for 27 years that I love and [am wondering if] that’s something I’m going to have to give up now. It’s mixed emotions,” Anderson said Tuesday night. “I didn’t even really want this when it started. There are still parts of me that are leery about making this leap but I think that’s why it’s important I pursue this.”

Anderson said he wants to bring back “honor and integrity” to the State Capitol.
