TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A speakeasy in Tampa is permanently closing its doors over the building’s structural issues.

Ciro’s made the announcement on social media on Wednesday.

“Today, we sadly announce the permanent closure of Ciro’s. Since 2009, Ciro’s has been a cherished spot for locals and visitors alike,” the restaurant’s owners said. “Due to structural issues at The Bayshore Royale, we are forced to close our doors. Thank you to our loyal guests, staff and the Tampa community for your support and memories shared over the years. As they say, this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.”

In March, the owners said the restaurant would be temporarily closed due to renovations within the building.

The ownership group said its other bar, Jekyll in Hyde Park, remains open.

“Although the doors of Ciro’s may close, its legacy will endure, and we look forward to creating new memories with you in the future,” Ciro’s website said.
