Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn has debuted a shaved head transformation.

The actor, known for playing Eddie Munson in the hit Netflix series, was pictured with a shaved head during the press tour for A Quiet Place: Day One.

Quinn stars alongside Lupita Nyong’o in the upcoming movie (which is set before 2018 horror A Quiet Place and its 2020 sequel) and the pair posed together at the photocall.

The prequel film will see characters Eric (Quinn) and Sam (Nyong’o) thrown together in New York during the original alien invasion.

Speaking about the new movie to Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, Quinn said: "The script is obviously set in the world that we know, but it’s very much a film about these two characters who are lost and trying to negotiate their fates.

"There are also some wonderful other characters in the film who Sam encounters, but the bulk of it is Eric and Sam in their mutual acceptance of this bleak, more quiet, new reality."

Meanwhile, Quinn is also starring in the coming-of-age movie Hoard, which is set to be released in cinemas in the UK and Ireland later this month.

In Luna Carmoon’s directorial debut, Quinn plays Michael alongside Saura Lightfoot-Leon, who plays the film’s protagonist Maria.

Hoard follows teenager Maria who, after a dramatic event, was separated from her mother as a child and now lives with a foster mother.

She meets Michael during an important period in her life, and his presence opens the door to "past trauma, magic and madness".

Quinn has a busy year ahead, as alongside these roles, he is also set to be part of MCU’s much-anticipated reboot of The Fantastic Four with Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby.

In addition, the actor is set to feature in a currently untitled war epic alongside May December’s Charles Melton, as well as LA-based horror Relapse, the directorial debut of ‘American Psycho’ author Bret Easton Ellis.

Hoard will be released in the UK and Ireland on May 10. A Quiet Place: Day One will be released in US and UK cinemas on June 28.
