Springfield children’s hospital hosting 5K for NICU needs

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Registration is now open for the Little Miracles 5K Walk/Run, which helps support the urgent care of newborn infants at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 9 a.m. at Washington Park in Springfield. There will be both a 3K and 5K route available.

Remarkable Women: Christina extending ‘small’ helping hand

All proceeds will go towards the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“The Little Miracles 5K offers an opportunity for friends, families and colleagues to come together while supporting a great cause,” said Mary Rogers, philanthropy specialist for HSHS St. John’s Foundation. “It is truly remarkable to witness the community coming together in support of our tiniest patients and their families.”
