Southern Cofé to close in north Baton Rouge, looking for a new coffee shop location

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A coffee shop in north Baton Rouge will close soon.

Southern Cofé to close in north Baton Rouge, looking for a new coffee shop location. Southern Cofé has been serving the community for several years since Owner Horatio Isadore opened it on Scotland Avenue.

A social media post from the shop states, “As we embark on the next chapter of our journey, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported Southern Cofé since our humble beginnings in 2018.”

The cafe also expressed in the post how much they appreciate the love, encouragement and support from the community.

But they’re not done yet.

“We set out with a simple mission: to show up, do the right thing, and hopefully, make a positive impact on our city and community,” the post reports. “And while our journey in this space may be coming to a close, we want you to know that this is not the end.”

Southern Cofé has announced that though the time at the current space is ending, they’re looking for another location to place the coffee shop.
