Prep Roundup: East TN Softball Classic in full swing; Pioneers complete comeback at DBHS

(WJHL) – High school softball teams from across the region gathered in Johnson City on Friday, as the East TN Softball Classic got underway from Winged Deer Park.
In a heavyweight bout to open the day, Tennessee High scored early to put away Science Hill, 9-3.
Unicoi County flexed its muscle in the rain, finishing off Happy Valley, 19-5.
On the baseball diamond, Lebanon traveled to Daniel Boone for a non-conference test. Despite trailing 5-2 in the seventh inning, the Pioneers clawed back and snuck away with an 11-6 road victory.
