Poll: Which Dade high school athlete should be the Miami Herald’s Player of the Week? (March 24)

Miami-Dade County’s best continued to put together big time performances as we enter spring break.

This week, we continue a weekly feature where we ask you to vote for the best performer of the week in Dade County high school sports.

Below is a look at the five candidates from last week’s action. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Thursday, March 28, around 10 p.m.

Eduardo Fogel, MAST boys water polo: Fogel scored a game-high seven goals to lead the Makos to a 15-14 win over Columbus and the GMAC championship.

Manny Marin, Westminster Christian, baseball: Marin went 2 for 3 with two home runs and four RBI to lead the Warriors to an 8-3 win over Belen Jesuit.

Serena Gillen, Florida Christian, softball: Gillen struck out 11 and gave up no walks and one earned run in a 5-4 win over Coral Reef.

Anabela Abdullah, Doral, softball: Abdullah went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBI in a 3-2 win over Coral Springs Charter in eight innings.

Franklin Francisco, Columbus, baseball: Francisco went 3 for 4 with three RBI including a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to lead the Explorers to a 6-5 win over Maryland’s Georgetown Prep.
