POLICE: Man stabbed in neck, hit by vehicle after altercation in Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Texas (KETK) — The Texarkana Police Department said a man was stabbed and hit by a vehicle on Friday in the 2300 block of N. Stateline.

According to a release, the stabbing occurred around 1:36 p.m. at a business parking lot. Officials said detectives determined that the victim was stabbed at least once in the neck after being pursued by a suspect on the roadway and was then struck by a vehicle that was driving south on Stateline.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and officials do not know the victim’s condition at this time.

Police said a suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, but their identity has not yet been released.
