Two men have been arrested over a shooting in a Lincolnshire village in the early hours of Saturday.

Armed police were called to reports of an injured man in his 30s in Little Steeping, near Spilsby.

Lincolnshire Police said a shotgun had been fired, leaving pellets in the victim's leg, but his injuries were not thought to be serious.

Officers said the gun was fired at the front door, injuring the victim who was inside.

The force has not yet said what the men were arrested on suspicion of, but it said they were in custody.

Police had previously appealed for anyone with dashcam footage from around the time of the incident in Thorpe Bank to get in touch.

It was believed the suspects had a connection to the occupants of the property and left the scene in a vehicle, a spokesperson said.

Det Insp John Richardson, who is leading the investigation, said: "If you saw anything suspicious or vehicles that sparked your interest in and around the area of Thorpe Bank, and happen to have any dashcam footage of them, please do get in touch as soon as possible."
