Police ask for community’s help in locating 2 missing at-risk runaway girls

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are turning to the community’s help in locating two at-risk runaway girls last seen in southwest Bakersfield.

Officials said Marie-Yell Norwood, 14, and Janel Zamora, 11, were last seen early Thursday in the 10900 block of Villa Hermosa Drive, just north of Harris Road. Norwood is considered at-risk for having no prior history of running away. Zamora is at-risk due to her age.

BPD said Norwood stands five feet two inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. She has black hair, and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a yellow sweater and black shorts.

Zamora is described as standing five feet six inches tall weighs 142 pounds and has brown hair with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown hoodie and blue jeans.
