Concord Airport back open plane’s emergency landing due to failed landing gear

CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Officials say Concord-Padgett Regional Airport has reopened after a small plane made an emergency landing due to failed landing gear.

The single-engine aircraft landed around 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 12, with two people on board. No injuries were reported.

The Concord Fire Department and airport crews responded to the incident and worked to remove the plane from the runway Friday morning.

The runway reopened around 12:50 p.m., officials said in an email.
