The Trooper attempted to pull over the vehicle, however it failed to yield and continued at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.

Another Trooper was able to position his vehicle and deploy spike strips, which disabled some tires but did not stop the vehicle. A second set of spike strips was deployed by a Bedford County-based Trooper, deflating the vehicle’s tires.

The truck continued into a Sheetz parking lot at a high rate of speed before continuing onto State Route 30 and entering a Dollar General parking lot where the truck became disabled.

The driver, identified as McKenzie Ledgerton, was taken into custody and showed signs of impairment, according to State Police. Troopers say Ledgerton was under the influence of a controlled substance and both marijuana and methadone were found in the vehicle.

Ledgerton remains in the Bedford County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.

State Police and court records listed addresses in Greene County, Pittsburgh, and Star City, West Virginia for Ledgerton.
