Pedestrian collision shuts down San Jose street Thursday

(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department responded to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian Thursday at 5:22 a.m. in the area of Story Road and Roberts Avenue, SJPD said. Commuter traffic in the area will be “severely impacted,” according to police.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was rushed to a local hospital, SJPD said.

Story Road in the eastbound direction from Roberts Avenue to Lucretia Avenue is blocked to all traffic. Motorists are asked to use alternative routes as police are on scene to investigate.
