One person hospitalized in East County head-on crash

RAMONA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — One person was taken to a hospital on Tuesday following a head-on vehicle crash in the Ramona area, firefighters said.

The two-car collision occurred around 5:59 p.m. between Mount Woodson Road and Mussey Grade Road, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic log.

One dead in East County shooting; Sheriff searching for suspect

FOX 5/KUSI obtained a photo from the scene that shows one vehicle overturned and the other sustaining major damage to the front of the car.

Cal Fire San Diego rescued one of the victims from the vehicle who was taken to the hospital with major injuries, while the other person was released at the scene.
