One person dead following motorcycle crash in McDuffie County

MCDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash in McDuffie County.

According to McDuffie County Coroner Paul Johnson, the victim is identified as Edward Hyde, 73, from Montgomery, Alabama.

The incident happened Saturday, May 25 at 6:33 a.m. on I-20 at the 176 mile marker.

Hyde was driving east on I-20 when his motorcycle veered off road into traffic barrier cables on west bound side of interstate. He died at the scene.

Georgia State Patrol and Coroners office are investigating.
