JCPD: Stuck tractor-trailer caused delays on E. Watauga Ave. Sunday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — One lane of E. Watauga Avenue was temporarily closed Sunday after a tractor-trailer became stuck under an Interstate 26 bridge, the Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) confirmed.

The tractor-trailer was reportedly attempting to cross under the bridge while moving an oversized load and did not have enough clearance, which caused it to become stuck.

The incident caused delays and a temporary lane closure Sunday afternoon, the JCPD said.
