5 dead in Yukon-area home: 10-year-old found bodies, official says

Oklahoma City police say they've begun investigating after five people, including children, were found dead inside a Yukon-area home Monday morning.
About 9:35 a.m. Monday morning police were notified of five deceased people inside a residence in the 2800 block of Mirage, near SW 29 and S Czech Hall Road.
Of the five were a sixth-grade student attending Meadow Brook Intermediate, a ninth-grade student attending Mustang High School, and a 2023 Mustang Public Schools graduate, the district's superintendent Charles Bradley told families in an email sent Monday.
"We are shocked, and our hearts are broken; this tragedy simply defies understanding," Bradley wrote.

Master Sgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said that all five had injuries consistent with homicide.
"This is not a carbon monoxide or fentanyl deal," Knight said. "These people died violently."
Police reported in a request for a search warrant that a 10-year-old boy discovered the bodies, a law enforcement official told The Oklahoman.
The incident is being investigated as a shooting and a gun was found on top of a man, according to the request made in Canadian County District Court.
Police wouldn't comment further as the investigation is ongoing.
Throughout the day, a strong police presence blocked off the cul-de-sac, and neighbors periodically came out of their homes to look down the street.
The residence is located in Czech Hall Estates, between Mustang and Yukon, in the Mustang school district.
