Fire crews told a KRON4 reporter that a man around his twenties was riding his motorcycle when they believe he ran a stop sign, did not see the city bus, and crashed into it. The motorcycle has since been towed.

SFPD said they were able to obtain video of the crash and confirmed the motorcyclist had run a stop sign, with his leg subsequently being run over by the bus, officials said.

Video from the scene showed several first responder vehicles and the victim being placed on stretchers. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) confirmed a Muni bus was involved in the incident.

The 18 and 31 buses were delayed on Balboa between 43rd and 45th. Both buses will reroute via Cabrillo Street between 43rd and 45th, SFMTA said.

The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown as of this report. Preliminary reports by SFPD reported two victims had suffered from the crash, but investigations revealed no other reported injuries.
