Mobile woman accused of chasing ex with knife: Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local woman was arrested after she chased her ex with a knife and vandalized a car, according to the Mobile Police Department.

40-year-old Amanda Tolbert was arrested early Thursday morning, an MPD news release said.

The release said officers were called to the 2500 block of McLaughlin Drive around 3:42 a.m. Thursday for a report of a domestic incident.

When officers arrived, they heard that Tolbert had vandalized a car before chasing her ex with a knife and attempting to force entry into a home, according to an MPD news release.

Tolbert is charged with first-degree domestic violence and second-degree criminal mischief, according to the Mobile County Metro Jail log.

Her bond hearings for both charges are set for April 26, according to the log.
