MCSO arrests two convicted sex offenders and woman harboring a wanted fugitive

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. (WRBL) – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that two convicted sex offenders along with a woman accused of harboring one of the offenders are now behind bars.

MCSO says on Monday the sheriff’s office sex offender task force found and arrested wanted fugitive Manuel Adams. Adams was convicted of child molestation and arrested on the following warrants:

  • Felony failure to register as a sex offender (MCSO)

  • Felony violation of probation (MCSO)

  • Felony violation of probation (MCSO)

  • Felony theft by receiving stolen property (Harris County Sheriff’s Office)

  • Obstruction (Harris County Sheriff’s Office)

  • Obstruction (Harris County Sheriff’s Office)

  • Obstruction (MCSO)

  • Seven traffic-related offenses in Harris County

Following Adams’ arrest, MCSO said deputies also arrested Kaylan Tallman for “knowingly harboring a sex offender with active felony warrants.” Tallman was charged with:

  • Felony harboring/concealing or withholding information concerning a sex offender.

On the same day, MCSO said the sex offender task force also located and arrested Benjamin Denney in Muscogee County. Denney was previously convicted of aggravated child molestation and arrested on the following warrants:

  • Felony failure to register as a sex offender (MCSO)

  • Felony violation of probation (MCSO)

All three individuals were transported to the Muscogee County Jail after their arrests.

Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman says the sheriff’s office will continue its promise to make certain that sex offenders are registered and comply with laws and restrictions set by the courts to ensure a safe environment for all citizens.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to the mandated responsibility of monitoring sex offenders to ensure they are registered by law and compliant with all restrictions the courts have adjudicated for them in order to protect our Citizens. It is your right to know who these sex offenders are, along with where they reside and work, for your protection. Failure to maintain what the law says they must do will result in arrests. Knowingly harboring sex offenders with active warrants and hindering any investigation will also result in arrests.
