Maryland weather: Sunny but cooler temperatures in Baltimore area this week

Sunny afternoons and cold nights are forecast for the Baltimore area this week.

Areas of frost are expected early Tuesday morning before temperatures hit the 70s in the afternoon. Tuesday night temperatures will drop into the 50s as a 50% chance of showers sets in through Wednesday morning.

Rain is expected to clear by 2 p.m. Wednesday when the high temperature is around 76 degrees. Wednesday night low temperatures will be around 45 degrees with wind gusts as strong as 24 mph.

Thursday has an afternoon high around 64 and a nighttime low in the 40s.

Friday and Saturday are all expected to be clear with afternoon temperatures in the upper 60s. Sunday afternoon temperatures are expected to break 80 degrees.
