Man, woman in critical condition following shooting in Greece; investigation underway

Two people are in critical condition following a double shooting in Greece on Wednesday.

According to Greece police, officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2:50 p.m. in the 300 block of Britton Road. On scene, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds.

Police identified the victims as a 35-year-old Greece woman who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, and a 38-year-old Greece man who suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. Both victims were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and underwent surgery. They are currently in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Authorities said that two separate fights involving groups of teenage males preceded the shooting. Shots were fired into a residence on Britton Road following the second altercation, resulting in the injuries, police said.

No suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
