Man shot, critically hurt in broad daylight in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was at the scene of a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE just before 12:30 p.m.

Police said a man was shot there – he was not conscious and not breathing by the time MPD arrived.

19-year-old killed in North Capitol Street shooting

MPD requested the homicide unit to help.

Police said the suspect was a man who was last seen running towards G Street.
