Man leads Edgefield Deputies on high-speed chase, charged with Drug Trafficking

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – Early Monday morning, deputies working traffic enforcement saw a black Infinity SUV driving on Edgefield Road towards Trenton, South Carolina.

They noticed defective equipment on the vehicle, and while trying to conduct a traffic stop, the SUV sped up to over 100 mph and refused to stop for law enforcement.

After both a car chase and foot chase, deputies were able to arrest the subject.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered multiple bags containing narcotics including 924 grams of methamphetamine and 32 grams of cocaine.

Edward Mance has been charged with trafficking cocaine and trafficking methamphetamine.
