Man with box cutter robbed 2 subway riders on Bronx train: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man armed with a box cutter robbed multiple subway riders on a Bronx train this week, police said.

The suspect threatened two men with the weapon before stealing their cellphones and AirPods on the No. 2 train in separate incidents at the Gun Hill Road and 238th Street-Nereid Avenue subway stations, according to the NYPD.

The victims, ages 22 and 26, were not injured.

The suspect and an accomplice also threatened a 50-year-old man with a fake gun on a northbound No. 2 train in the Bronx Park East subway station on April 18, police said. The suspects took the victim’s wallet and cellphone before taking off. The victim was not injured.

There have been no arrests.
