Man out on bond jailed again on new drug charges, Florence police say

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — An Irmo man out on bond for drug charges across South Carolina was arrested by Florence police Monday, the Florence Police Department said.

D’juan Scudder was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and driving under suspension.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Scudder’s vehicle. During the stop, police found that Scudder’s driver’s license was revoked. Officers also detected the odor of marijuana which prompted a search, police said.

Police said they found 1,289 grams of marijuana and $18,211 inside his vehicle, which was seized.

Scudder is currently at Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

At the time of his arrest, police said Scudder was out of jail on bond on drug charges from across South Carolina and neighboring states.
