Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan Clark has shared she and co-star Nathanial Valentino have "made up" after their rocky split on the show.

Ella and Nathanial were paired up by the experts on the latest season of the UK dating show, aired last year. Things went awry when their personalities clashed during the honeymoon, with Ella ultimately falling for JJ Slater and re-joining the experiment with him.

On the Queer Love Stories podcast, Ella has now set the record straight about where she and Nathanial stand now.

"I was a bit annoyed but I did fancy Nathanial," the show's first trans bride said, admitting she didn't know much about pansexuality before meeting her husband.

"We left on bad terms," she continued. "I didn't speak to him until about 2-3 weeks ago."

Ella bumped into one of Nathanial's friends at an event in Manchester after first meeting her at their wedding.

"She sent him a picture of me and her and I got a text from him, 'Just so you know, I think you look beautiful tonight'," she said.

"I thought, 'F**k it, he's reached out to me, what a nice thing to do'," she said, explaining Nathanial's message prompted her to unblock him on social media.

"I unblocked him on Instagram, we exchanged texts, we've now made up, we had a conversation," she said. "We've grown and matured as two people."

"I'm sad that it went the way it went," she added, looking back with regret on not opening up to him "on a deep level".
