Easter 2-person Scramble

What: Team can be men, women or mixed. Includes golf, cart, lunch and prizes. Easter egg raffle. Each flight winner wins a special prize.

When: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30

Where: The Freeport Club, 1614 S. Park Blvd., Freeport

Cost: $60; $40 for members

Friday Movie: Jesus Christ Superstar

What: Conclude your Holy Week with a community of friends at a special showing of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (the original 1973 film). This is the 50th anniversary of the film’s debut. Tickets are available before the show through the church office or at the door for each performance. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Concessions will be available for purchase. Proceeds will help support our anniversary events and special projects for the Worship & Arts fund.

When: 6 p.m. Friday, March 29 or 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30

Where: St. John United Church of Christ, 1010 S. Park Blvd., Freeport

Cost: $10; $5 for teens; free for age 12 and younger

Goat hike

What: Enjoy a one-mile hike around the farm and through the woods with miniature goats. There are some uneven surfaces/ground on the trail. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray. There are no refunds in case of bad weather. Credit will be offered for a future hike. Participants must sign a waiver. Goat hikes are anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes. The farm store carries seasonal cheeses, raw honey, goat milk soap, hand salve and more available.

When: 11 a.m. – noon Saturday, March 30

Where: Gretta’s Goats, 498 W. Farwell Bridge Road, Pecatonica

Cost: $19; free for children younger than 2 when accompanied by parent

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

What: Each attendee, ages 11-13 only, is required to bring their own flashlight because we are having this event in the dark. Kids should also bring a bag or basket and dress for the weather because we will have the Flashlight Egg Hunt rain or shine. Parents, please stay with your child as the event will only take a few minutes.

When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30

Where: Lions Park, 609 N. Schuyler St., Lena

Bunny Trail

What: Paths are stroller-, wheelchair- and bunny-friendly for all ages. Participate in activities and interact with barn yard animals in the petting zoo. Pre-registration is not required.

When: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30

Where: Krape Park, 1799 S. Park Blvd., Freeport

Cost: Free

Easter Eggstravaganza

What: Egg hunting, petting zoo, games and more. P&C Little Rascals will be there with their animals. A toddler-friendly egg hunt will be from 9-9:15 a.m., with a sensory-friendly hunt afterward. Hunt for ages 4-6 is from 9:15-9:30 a.m.; for ages 6-8 is from 9:30-9:45 a.m. and for ages 9-12 is from 9:45-10 a.m. Please RSVP with ages.

When: 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 30

Where: Pearl City Park District, 331 W. Devore Ave., Pearl City

Hidden Gifts of Visual Thinkers
