CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Lincolnton woman was indicted Wednesday on death by distribution charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.

A federal grand jury in Charlotte indicted 24-year-old Madison Dare Winslow for allegedly selling fentanyl that led to an overdose death, said Western District Attorney Dena King.

According to allegations in the indictment, on Feb. 14, 2022, Winslow knowingly and intentionally distributed fentanyl in Catawba County, that caused a victim’s overdose death. The indictment also alleges that Winslow distributed the substance on April 4, 2022, which is after the date of the victim’s death.

She was arrested a few months later by the Maiden Police Department. Winslow is charged with one count of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
