Red Fox's Attitude After Owner 'Offended' Her Is Hilarious and Relatable

There's nothing quite like the unconditional love of an animal. Whether it's a dog who cuddles with you every night or a farmyard friend who trots across the pasture to say hello, those greetings are some of the most special you'll ever receive. Well--most of them will be!

Just ask fox owner Kimberly DeFisher. On March 2, she greeted her foxes--including sassy red fox Pearl--and got a whole lot of attitude in return. Pearl's fur sibling Micah was thrilled to see their mom, but Pearl couldn't help but give a big dose of attitude. It's a good thing that Kimberly filmed their silly morning encounter because Pearl's sass and vocal range made for quite the wake up call. Take a look!

LOL! These foxes couldn't be more opposite. While grey fox Micah just wants all the attention and belly rubs, Pearl the red fox has something else in mind. It's unclear whether she wants to sniff Kimberly's hand or is upset that Micah has all the attention (even though he doesn't). Either way, she made her feelings known!

"I mean, you did tell her she's being crazy," pointed out commenter @sorcerer3914. "In my experience, ladies don't like that." OMG--you're right! This could be a simple case of mismatched vibes and incorrect assumptions, but there's zero doubt that Pearl was acting a bit sensitive. If only she could understand that her mom was just trying to pet her!

But from the way the rescued fox stomps back to her kennel and wails from a distance, she doesn't understand that at all. She didn't seem interested in having company or attention, and she even walked away when Kimberly and Micah came closer. Oh well--I guess she just needs some space!

Foxes Are Not Pets

When watching videos like this one, it's easy to understand why some people say they'd like to have a fox as a pet. Not only do they look so sly and sleek with their long, pointy shapes and vivid coats, but they're also extremely smart and expressive.

Despite all of this--these are not pet foxes! In this video, you can see that the foxes are outside in large, contained areas where they can run, jump, and play. These are rescued animals who are unable to live in the wild, but they are still given top-notch care from someone who is licensed and trained to care for them.

No matter how healthy and happy they are with Kimberly, it seems inevitable that Pearl, the girl fox, will let her attitude get the best of her sometimes.
