Dua Lipa Has Made Mirror Chrome Nails Her Go-To Manicure for Spring

It's no question that Dua Lipa loves her flashy manicures as much as she loves a good vacation—she can usually be spotted wearing a colorful nail look on her infamous tropical getaways. Of them all, her pink aura manicure, mermaid chrome, glazed vanilla French, and hot pink French nails are some of our favorites. However, the superstar's latest reflective nail look might just top the list.

Over the course of the past week, Lipa has been sharing photo dump after photo dump to Instagram, showing off bits and pieces of her trips to Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Barcelona. Though a life full of travel is no surprise to any Dua stan, it was the manicure she wore the whole time that had us zooming in on the pictures.

Along with snaps of delicious-looking tacos, photos of dinners with friends, scenic views of city skylines, and plenty of selfies, there were also up-close looks at her silver mirror chrome manicure.

All short and natural-shaped, each of Dua's nails matched with a highly reflective, mirror-like finish. Silver in color, this was much more reflective than your classic chrome—easily absorbing and reflecting the colors around it, making it appear gold or champagne in certain lights. The mirror chrome also still left some shards of glitter visible through the top coat, unlike a classic, more uniform chrome. The result? A high-shine glittery silver mani that quickly made it to our spring-time mood board.

First, as with any nail look, remove any lingering nail polish with remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length and shape—this would also be the time to apply any tips or press-on if you want. After that, buff the surface for an even nail bed before applying your favorite base coat.

With your nails prepped, you could do one of two things. First, and probably the easiest, is to find a glitter silver polish like OPI's Kyoto Pearl ($15). Or, if you are feeling a little adventurous, you could paint a light gray base color and apply Mia Secret's Metallic Flakes ($13) onto the dried color. Either way, finish it up by sealing it with your favorite top coat and applying cuticle oil for nail health. Then, you will practically be on Dua Lipa's next excursion.
