Lake Charles woman arrested after police found multiple bags and binders of personal information

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) – A Lake Charles woman was arrested after detectives found binders and storage units full of personal information for numerous people.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies had a traffic stop in December on a car that had multiple binders of identification cards, credit & debit cards, social security cards, insurance cards and medical files of numerous people. The items were seized and the driver was arrested on drug possession charges. Eileenann Large, 42 of Lake Charles, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and later released on bond with additional charges pending.

Detectives continued their investigation in reference to the numerous personal items found. After numerous search warrants and subpoenas, detectives issued a warrant for Large’s arrest on March 7. On March 12, she was found during a traffic stop and numerous financial documents and mail, belonging to different people, were again found and seized.

Large was arrested on her warrant and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for questioning. She told detectives she’s had the documents for years. She also told detectives she had more items in two storage units. Using a search warrant, detectives found several bags full of additional financial documents, mail, and other paperwork belonging to other individuals other than Large.

She was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with identity theft. Her bond was set at $75,000.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
