(WHTM) – Award-winning musician Jon Batiste will be in Hershey this spring as part of a four-stop east coast tour.

Batiste will visit the Hershey Theatre on Saturday, May 11 at 8 p.m. for his show “STREAMS: Jon Batiste At The Piano.”

“I am at home on the piano,” said Batiste. “STREAMS is a stream-of-consciousness music that comes to me in the moment without rehearsal or preparation. Playing piano for me is like breathing. It’s prayer, it’s dreaming, it’s conversation. I want to be in the conversation with the audience and share this intimate creative space. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience each time, a spontaneous flow state, completely improvised.”

Batiste received a Grammy Award, Golden Globe, Academy Award, and a BAFTA for co-composing the music for the Pixar film “Soul” and was the band leader for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
