Human remains found in northern Missouri identified as Iowa man missing since 2018

PRINCETON, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the human remains found by a turkey hunter in the northern part of the state.

The remains were discovered Tuesday afternoon on private property in northeast Mercer County, along the Iowa state line.

MSHP identified the remains Thursday as 24-year-old Sebastian Tyrese Husted, from Centerville, Iowa. Husted has been reported missing since January 2018 by the Centerville, Iowa Police Department.

MSHP is asking anyone with information connected to the investigation to contact the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office or the Centerville, Iowa Police Department.
