Helicopter tracks stolen car; 3 arrested after crash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people are in custody after allegedly crashing a stolen car and attempting to run from police Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the Memphis Police Department received information regarding a stolen vehicle in the area of Tillman Street and Sam Cooper Boulevard around 2:22 p.m.

A helicopter was used to track the vehicle where it crashed at Jamerson and Macon Road.

Police say three suspects ran from the car, but were all taken into custody. One man was transported to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

This is an ongoing investigation.
