Grab a Jersey Mike’s sub and help JA

If you head to a local Jersey Mike’s Subs on Wednesday, March 27, all of your purchase will go to charity — specifically, Junior Achievement of the Heartland.

For the sixth straight year, JA is partnering with Jersey Mike’s nationwide Day of Giving, and the three Jersey Mike’s locations in the Quad Cities area will give every single dollar in sales to the Moline-based nonprofit that serves students in 24 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

All month, generous customers have been making donations at nearly 2,500 Jersey Mike’s locations nationwide during the 14th Annual “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign for local charities, according to a Tuesday release from JA.

The participating QC Jersey Mike’s locations for the Wednesday fundraiser are:

  • 3918 16th St., Moline

  • 2124 E. Kimberly Rd., Unit 150b, Davenport

  • 4451 E. 53rd St., Suite 300, Davenport

This is the sixth year Junior Achievement of the Heartland has partnered with Jersey Mike’s for Month of Giving. To date, the initiative has raised more than $325,000 for the organization (including its Dubuque location).

During this year’s Month of Giving in March, Jersey Mike’s hopes to surpass last year’s record-breaking $21-million fundraising total, Junior Achievement said. Proceeds support more than 200 local charities across the country striving to fulfill their missions and make a difference.

Since 2011, Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving has raised more than $88 million for local charities.
