(KTXL) – Jimmer Fredette was a fan favorite when he played for the Sacramento Kings, from 2011-2014.

They called it “Jimmer-Mania.”

Now, those fans who cheered for him in Sacramento can cheer for him at the Olympics.

USA Basketball announced on Tuesday that Fredette is part of the United States’ 3×3 basketball team that will compete in Paris this summer. It is a four-person roster, all four of whom have been competing together since 2022.

The team members are Canyon Berry, Fredette, Kareem Maddox and Dylan Travis.

3×3 basketball first became an Olympic sport in Tokyo in 2021, but the U.S. men did not qualify. They qualified this time, automatically, by being ranked No. 2 in the world.
