Expired temp tag, meth and rifle lead to Missouri man’s sentence
ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis County man was sentenced to prison after an expired temp tag, a rifle, and methamphetamine led to his arrest several years ago.
Antwon Fulton, 33, was a convicted felon prior to that arrest on May 6, 2021. A federal judge sentenced Fulton to 160 months (just over 13 years) on drug and gun charges.

According to court documents, a St. Louis officer pulled over a car with no license plate and expired license plate and later found Fulton as a passenger in the car. While responding, the officer noticed a Chinese SKS semi-automatic rifle and a bag with more than half a pound of meth inside the car, both which belonged to Fulton.
Because of Fulton’s prior felony convictions, he was banned from possessing a firearm. He pled guilty last December to charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors say this case is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods program, which brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
