Educator Honor Roll: Sgt. Major Nathaniel Bartee, Columbia High School

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) —Many teachers across the Tennessee Valley go above and beyond for their students, and we want to recognize them — with our Education Honor Roll!

This Wednesday we want to introduce you to Sergeant Major Nathaniel Bartee, a JROTC teacher at Columbia High School.

After serving 33 years in the U.S. Army, those who nominated him for this honor say retired CSM Bartee continues to serve his nation by mentoring High JROTC Cadets!

“Bartee is dedicated to teaching our students life skills that will take them beyond the walls of high school. As a JROTC Teacher, he continually places the students growth as his priority at Columbia High School,” the school’s principal says.

We visited Bartee at the school, and you can watch the entire interview above.
