Raleigh County Clerk Scott Vanmeter said registered voters could drop by the historic Raleigh County Courthouse from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturday, May 4, 2024, and Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to cast their ballots during early voting.

He said there are advantages to voting early.

“If you vote at a busy precinct, sometimes it gets busy, and you have to wait in line,” said Vanmeter on Monday, April 29, 2024. “Here, you can get in and out pretty quickly, and, also, if you work election day, then you can come in any of the two weeks, including the two Saturdays, and vote, so you don’t have to miss any work.”
