Del Rio Trail project could be complete by late spring, Sacramento says
(FOX40.COM) — The Del Rio Trail project is nearing completion, according to a report released by the city of Sacramento.
According to the city, the nearly 5-mile trail has been in the works since at least 2017 and is expected to be complete by late spring.

The trail will connect to the Sacramento River Bike Trail and run from William Land Park through Land Park, South Land Park, Freeport Manor, Z’Berg, Pocket and Meadowview neighborhoods to near the Bill Conlin Sports Complex.
The city says it is still working on several projects related to the trail including:
Planting, staking and applying mulch to trees
Placing grout at embedded rail crossings
Installing pedestrian traffic signals
Placing and compacting base rock at the parking lot of San Mateo
WayInstalling irrigation connections to city waterlines
Building pavement tie-ins throughout the trail
The city also expects to improve drainage along the path once the weather dries out the soil.
