D20 on regular schedule Friday, outage continues

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Academy District 20 schools will return to normal operations on Friday, April 26, after an internet and phone outage resulted in a two-hour delay on Thursday.

According to D20, schools return to normal hours on Friday, though the district does not expect to have its network connection restored by the start of the day.

“As we continue working to restore our network access, we want to thank members of our team for their effort and dedication to our schools and for providing support for students,” said D20. “Our teams will continue to work around the clock as we move towards a return to normal for our network.”

In response to questions about why students cannot have an e-learning day, the district said e-learning via District-Provided-Devices (DPD) requires the district’s network to be active in order for its firewall to protect students who are accessing resources from home.
