CT woman charged in domestic incident involving shots fired

A Stamford woman was arrested on attempted assault and gun-related charges in connection with a shooting reported during a domestic incident in Norwalk Monday.

Officers responded to the area of 251 Ely Ave. at 8:41 p.m. on the report of shots fired and quickly began searching for the suspect and the vehicle she was in, according to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police Department.

The vehicle was found a “short distance away” where police located a firearm, Podgorski said in a statement Tuesday.

The police department’s Detective Bureau responded and took over the investigation, which allege that the shots were fired in connection with an “isolated” incident that was “domestic in nature,” Podgorski said.

No injuries were reported.

Sharona Debbie Annet Bailey-Bramble, 34, was arrested in connection with the incident on charges of criminal attempt at first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Podgorski said her bail was set at $150,000 and she was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
