Comcast says outage caused by cable cut in West Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Comcast says mowing equipment accidentally cut a fiber optic line in West Memphis, Arkansas on Tuesday, causing an outage to Comcast internet service in the area.
According to Downdetector, at 3:41 p.m., there were a total of 181 reported Comcast outages made within 24 hours.

A representative with Comcast released the following statement,
“Our network experienced a significant fiber cut earlier today in West Memphis, Arkansas due to an accidental event caused by industrial mowing equipment. Our restoration teams are on-site and working to repair, replace, and restore services to our residential and business customers impacted by the incident. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working for a full restoration of services to our customers.”
