City offering free vaccines for children this week

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is offering free vaccinations this week for children 5 years old and younger as part of National Infant Immunization Week.

The City will also be offering free vaccines to infants up to 12 months old.

The free vaccines will be administered by appointment only from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:

  • El Paso Community Clinic Ysleta, 110 Candelaria Rd.

  • El Paso Community Clinic Henderson, 721 S. Mesa

  • El Paso Community Clinic Northeast, 9566 Railroad

  • El Paso Community Clinic Westside, 7380 Remcon Cir.

The Department of Public Health is offering free vaccines for children who meet one of the following Texas Vaccines for Children guidelines:

  • Enrolled in Medicaid

  • Uninsured

  • Underinsured (Private insurance, but coverage does not include vaccines, or selected vaccines)

  • Native American or Alaskan Native

  • Enrolled in CHIP (El Paso First only)

The following vaccines are available to eligible children 5 years and under:

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Acellular Pertussis (DTaP)

  • Haemophilus Influenza (Hib)

  • Hepatitis A (HepA)

  • Hepatitis B (HepB)

  • Influenza

  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)

  • MCV4 (Meningococcal)

  • MEN B(Meningococcal B)

  • Pneumococcal 1-Valent Conjugate (PCV20)

  • Polio (IPV)

  • Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and Pertusis)

  • COVID-19

  • TD (Tetanus- Diphtheria)

  • HIB (Haemophilus Influenza Type B)

  • HPV (Human Papillomavirus)

  • Rotavirus (RV)

  • Varicella (VAR)
