BernCo Animal Care Services considers changing its hours

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is asking the community to share their thoughts on changing its hours.

Animal Care Services is considering adjusting its hours of operation to increase the availability of resources to the community and increase adoption and return-to-owner opportunities.

Proposed hours of operation:

  1. Tuesday – Saturday from 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

  2. Tuesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  3. Wednesday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  4. Sunday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  5. Other – Provide day of the week and hours of operation.

Current hours are listed below:

  • Tuesday – Saturday: 1-5:30 p.m. with adoption viewings ending at 5 p.m.

Community members can share their thoughts on the hours by taking an online survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WXB2Q98. The survey will end on Sunday, March 31 at 11:45 p.m.
