52-year-old arrested after stabbing in south Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 52-year-old man was arrested following a fight that turned into a stabbing in Fresno late Tuesday evening, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Officers say they were called around 11:30 p.m. to the 500 block of N. 5th Street for a victim of a stabbing. They found the victim, a man in his mid-30s, with stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment and his condition was last described as stable.

According to police, the victim got into a fight with the suspect, prompting the suspect to pull out a knife and stab the victim. The suspect, a 52-year-old man, was booked into the Fresno County Jail.

The identities of both the victim and the suspect were not immediately released.
