4 arrested on suspicion of DUI at Concord checkpoint

(KRON) – The Concord Police Department announced four individuals were arrested on suspicion of DUI in an enforcement patrol on Friday.

According to Concord PD, drivers charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties and a suspended license.

The police department informed the public that driving under the influence is not exclusive to alcohol. Prescription medications or over-the-counter drugs can hinder a person’s ability to drive. Despite medicinal and recreational marijuana being legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is not.
