Sharon and Kelly Osbourne

While her mother, Sharon Osbourne, has spoken a lot about using Ozempic, warning some people against it, Kelly has a starkly different opinion about the use of the popular weight loss drug.

Kelly was attending the red carpet for Dolly Parton's Pet Gala when she was asked by E! News about Ozempic, and she was very positive about it, saying, "I think it's amazing. There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that isn't as boring as working out?"

"People hate on it because they want to do it," she went on. "And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can't afford it. Unfortunately, right now it's something that is very expensive but it eventually won't be because it actually works."

While Kelly hasn't stated if she has ever used Ozempic, her mother Sharon has, saying of the experience, "You can lose so much weight and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldn’t stop losing weight and now I’ve lost 42lb and I can’t afford to lose any more." She specifically warned against letting teenagers use it, calling the drug "too easy."

While appearing on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast, Sharon described getting intense side effects while using the drug, explaining how she would "just throw up all the time and you feel so nauseous." However, the nausea didn't last forever, and after it passed, "You're just not hungry."

Sharon eventually decided to stop using Ozempic after losing more weight than she had planned, and since then, she has been very open about her difficulties with putting weight back on. Despite her struggles and advice for others to take caution, she recently clarified, "I don't regret it."

Along with Sharon, many other stars have spoken up about using Ozempic, with Oprah Winfrey a strong supporter of the drug.
